The KERN Group's Project Manager, Gregory Kern and Senior Security Consultant R. Scott Kern, have turned an idea they had into a thriving locally owned electronic security business that has received several awards.

The KERN Group is considered "best in class" among 300+ GE dealers worldwide. Out of the four 2005 Innovation Awards categories, the KERN Group won an astounding 50% of the awards! The KERN Group won the categories of Best Integration System for their networked digital video surveillance solution for the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District and the Most Innovative Use of Wireless Security Technology for 2005. KERN's winning wireless security technology award incorporated a highly unique Oleoresin Capsicum (OC Pepper) gas delivery system deployed to protect a private antique gun collection. KERN recently received these prestigious awards at the annual GE Security Pro Dealer conference held in Kona, Hawaii.

Scott Kern says, "We have received tremendous support and business expertise from SCORE" . We had just incorporated and were in need of professional tax counseling. SCORE suggested a CPA was the best route to take for all our accounting needs.
